After a recent visit to the GameOn2.0 I came to the conclusion that it isn't always the most complicated, detailed games that aren't always the most fun, and that simple games (such as the Japanese train driver game) can give you just as much pleasure.
But how far can you take this? how simple can a game be and still be enjoyable?
I think the answer can be found in the late 80's game 'Desert Bus'.
All the 4 bit thrills you can cope with, with the storyline of driving a bus (in real time) from Tucson, Arizona to Las Vegas. The journey lasts about 8 hours (16 if your doing the return trip for double points), during wich you can experience the slightly changing scenery as the occasional tumbleweeds rolls past.
Just to make sure you dont cheat and sticky tape the throttle down, the bus steers slightly to the left and right, so requires constant diligent steering.
Possibly one for the podium in 'shittest video games' and certainly a finalist in the 'games you won't see in GameOn3.0'

putting it out there - also possibly contender for world's shittest youtube clip of world's shittest video game. There goes 10 minutes of my life I will never get back....
